Rating: 5 Teacups / 3 Handcuffs

The Mackenzies gather for a clan Christmas and New Year’s in Scotland. In the chaos of preparations for the celebration–the first of Hart and Eleanor’s married life–one of Ian’s Ming bowls gets broken, and the family scrambles to save the day. Daniel busily runs a betting ring for everything from the time Eleanor’s baby will arrive to whether Mac’s former-pugilist valet can win a boxing match to who will be the first of the many guests to be caught under the mistletoe. Ian begins a new obsession, and Beth fears the loss of one of his precious bowls has made him withdraw once more into his private world. (via

Our Thoughts:

  • This is one of our favorite series, so being invited to a Mackenzie Christmas was a real treat.

  • The entire family is there enjoying the holiday at Kilmorgan Castle, complete with their adorable children in tow.

  • You really see how the brothers have changed over the course of the years, from notorious bachelors with a penchant for vice, to family men with their HEAs.

  • Ian marriage to Beth, has work wonders to help him heal, centering him. Without giving much away, he displays how important she is to him, when a disastrous event occurs.

  • A wondrous event occurs, that makes Cameron ecstatic, as he relinquishes his seat as successor, when the new heir to Kilmorgan is born. HEAs for everyone!
