WARNING CONTAINS SPOILERS!

Description:

After the last fiasco, Sally gives up. She’ll never find a Dom of her own. Instead the computer whizz is job hunting in between bending the law–just a bit–to unearth the bastards who’d enslaved her friends. The clueless cops and Feds obviously need her help.

FBI special agents, Galen and Vance, have waited to play with Sally for a long time. When the mischievous submissive returns to the exclusive Shadowlands BDSM club after an ugly relationship, the experienced co-tops are more than pleased. Realizing she’s suppressing deep-seated emotions, the powerful Doms push her–only to find that her sassiness conceals a scarred and vulnerable heart.

Shaken by the unexpected emotional exposure, Sally flees the demanding Masters and the Shadowlands. And that should be the end of that, since both Galen and Vance have reasons not to seek a long-term relationship, especially with a submissive who doesn’t want what they can give. But when a brutal attack by her ex-Dom sends Sally into their home, the two agents are driven to protect her. To help her. To take her under command. Falling in love isn’t in the plans.

But the little imp brings light into their lives, and just as they begin to want more, they discover she’s hacked into an organization that delights in burning people alive. Now more than hearts are on the line, and Sally’s submission could save her life. (via Amazon.com)

Our Thoughts:

  • Best HEA ending ever!!! The epilogue had it all; a party, babies, and weddings!

  • The novel deals with real life issues couples face, even after their HEA, with a little adventure and BDSM thrown in. At its core the series is about human relationships and the work that is involved to make everyone happy.

  • The relationship between the three lovers felt natural, believable. You are convinced of their dedication and love for each other.

  • Galan and Vance are exactly what Sally needs, and she is the perfect sub for them. She adds sunshine and happiness to their lives.

  • Sinclair did an excellent job creating the Doms as two very distinct characters, and introducing you to the polyamory lifestyle.

  • We love Sally! She is feisty, smart, sweet, and a little bratty; okay a lot. She is loyal to her friends and would do anything for her fellow Shadowkittens. Can we just add we love the new nickname for the Shadowland submissives.

  • We are so glad that Sally finally gets her HEA! After watching all of her fellow Shadowkittens, find their perfect Doms, she deserves to find happiness as well. She has always been truly happy for her friends and supportive as they navigated their relationships. It’s only fitting she finds two!

  • The entire series has an element of finding your family. We love how Sinclair brought the lovers’ families into the story. They are not ashamed of their lifestyle and who they are. They surround themselves with people who accept and love them.

  • Master Z has always been wonderful and keeps getting better. He’s like a big-brother to Sally who looks out for her well being; although she’s scened with him which is a bit creepy. The romantic Dom wants her to find a HEA as much as the readers do!

  • One of the aspects of the novel that make it extremely enjoyable, is that interwoven into the narrative, are other characters stories. Seeing couples continuing and sometimes stumbling through their HEAs is honest, and is wonderful when their happiness continues.

  • Master Nolan and Beth’s relationship operates differently within the D/s lifestyle. The scene with them was so sweet and illustrated that he knows what she need, and will do anything to make his rabbit happy.

  • Master Dan and Kari’s drama, was so real and emotional, he almost made us cry with his love for her. He was willing to go vanilla if that’s what she wanted, lucky for him it was all just a case of miscommunication. Even Doms screw up sometimes and need to be called out!

  • RED! We loved how the safeword is not only honored, but not penalized for being used. Submissives have all the power and we’re glad that Sally wasn’t afraid to use it.

  • This novel’s overarching message is that you shouldn’t wonder about the “if only’s” in your life, because there is nothing you can do to change what’s already happened; and was most likely out of your control. But “if only” this book didn’t have to end!

Happy Reading!
